The Fine Arts Fund (www.fineartsfund.org) the FAF supports regional arts organizations throughout Greater Cincinnati through united fundraising, support services and the responsible investment of resources. Founded as The Cincinnati Institute of Fine Arts in 1927 by Charles and Anna Sinton Taft, who, in addition to a major endowed gift that they required be matched by the people of Cincinnati, donated their personal artwork collection and their home (now the Taft Museum of Art). The annual public campaign began in 1949. Since its inception, the FAF has raised more than $200 million for Cincinnati-area arts organizations.
The FAF provides operating support to its eight major member arts organizations in the Greater Cincinnati region, including the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Opera, and the Cincinnati Art Museum .
