CALL FOR ENTRY

CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS - 35th ANNIVERSARY 

January 25th through February 6th, 2008

CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS: The annual festival of spiritual and 

sacred arts hosted by First United Methodist Church,  Grand Rapids, 

Michigan.  Celebration of the Arts represents one of the largest juried 

spiritual art exhibits in the country featuring over 125 artists from 

throughout the region in a variety of mediums including oils, acrylics, 

watercolor, sculpture, fiber, photography and more. 

John Bakker of Trinity Christian College will serve as the juror for 

Celebration of the Arts 2008. See www.trnty.edu/faculty/bakker/

Media:  oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, prints, drawings, 

sculpture, ceramics, fiber, textiles, collage, photography, etc. 

Fees:  $10.00 for each work. Entries are limited to two pieces per person.

Requirements:  Works should express a religious or spiritual quality.  

No slides of artwork will be accepted. Only original artwork will be 

accepted. Pieces must be ready for presentation. 

Artwork will be received Friday, January 18th and Saturday, 

January 19th,2008 from 10am to 4pm. Opening Artists' Reception

 is January 25th from 7pm to 9pm. Exhibit is open to the public from 

10am to 6pm  beginning Saturday, January 26th through Tuesday, 

February 5th and 10am to 4pm Wednesday, February 6th, 2008.
