The Director of Membership, Annual Fund and Advancement Services oversees programs that currently manages a database of nearly 125,000 records, 20,000 active member households, and several thousand annual donors. The Director’s primary responsibility for the membership portion of the position is to plan, execute and manage all strategies and programs to increase membership acquisition and retention. The manager also conducts, analyzes and prepares reports on data specific to the department including revenue results and member research. The Director’s primary responsibility for the annual fund portion is the strategic execution and management of an annual giving program, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in the areas of development services and donor relations. This position also executes the gift office functions within the Institutional Advancement Department, ensuring that donor intentions are honored, gifts are processed and acknowledged in an accurate and timely manner, accurate financial reports are generated, gift policies conform to all regulatory policies and prospect research is performed in a succinct and appropriate manner. The Director works closely with the general Institutional Advancement Services Department staff to deal with a wide variety of functions relating to the development, implementation, maintenance, documentation, use, and support of computer-based Development information systems.
