2007 Shakespeare Summer Camp Enrollment Now Open! What is Shakespeare Summer Camp? Shakespeare Summer Camp is a one-week theatre day camp for middle school and high school students. Campers work with members of the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company Acting Ensemble throughout the week learning the basics of acting, stage combat, movement, and text analysis for the actor. Every camper plays a part in the performance of a Shakespeare play for family and friends at the end of the week. This exciting camp has grown into a three-tiered program for students of all levels of experience. Hosted by Xavier University in the Gallagher Student Center, Shakespeare Summer Camp introduces students to all aspects of professional theatre in a beautiful and modern facility.
Camp I Introduction to Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night's Dream June 11-15, 2007 Mon.-Fri., 9 am to 5 pm Camp includes beginner's classes in acting, combat, text analysis, and movement. All campers perform in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the end of the week. Open to students who have completed 6th or 7th grade. Recommended for first-year campers. Price: $260 (includes t-shirt)	Camp II Random Acts of Shakespeare Shakespeare's Comedies June 18-22, 2007 Mon.-Fri., 9 am to 5 pm Our intermediate level camp allows students to study scenes in-depth from Shakespeare's comedies. Students must audition for this program for role assignment. Auditions are by appointment only and will be held from 10am- 12pm on Sat. May 5, 2007. Open to students who have completed 7th - 9th grade. Price: $260 (includes t-shirt)	Camp III The Shakespeare Intensive June 25-29, 2007 Mon.-Fri., 9 am to 5 pm Campers will stage scenes from the Bard's romances, tragedies and comedies. Must commit to memorizing roles in advance. Students must audition for this program to be assigned a role. Auditions are by appointment only and will be held from 10am- 12pm on Sat. May 5, 2007. Open to students who have completed 9th - 11th grade. Limited enrollment. Price: $260 (includes t-shirt)
