The Drama Workshop will hold the second round of auditions for Inherit The Wind, by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, on Wednesday, February 13 and Friday, February 15, 2008 from 7pm-10pm at the Mercy HealthPlex at Mercy Western Hills Hospital, 3131 Queen City Ave. Many of the major roles have been filled, but many important secondary roles are still available. If you ever wanted to be on stage then this is the play for you. There are speaking roles, crowd roles and townspeople of all ages with a few lines. Auditionees will read from a script against other actors. Directions: Take the driveway on Boudinot Ave. at the traffic light and follow it to the HealthPlex, located towards the rear of the hospital. Signs will be posted to direct you to Room B. Inherit the Wind is based on the famous Scopes "monkey" trial, this drama focuses on the trial of a young schoolteacher charged with illegally teaching the theory of evolution in the heavily fundamentalist South of the 1920s. Two former friends – agnostic Henry Drummond and true believer Matthew Harrison Brady, a three-time Presidential nominee – square off as legal adversaries in a battle so ferocious that the accused and his crime pale by comparison. If you would like to work with TDW in a technical position please come and speak to the director, Tom Durkin, or the producer, Elaine Volker. Inherit the Wind will be presented May 2,3,8,9,10 at 8pm and Sunday, May 4 at 3pm at The Westwood Town Hall, Harrison and Montana Ave. ***There will be a daytime performance for school children on Wednesday, May 7.***
