ALL OTHER ROLES IN ALL SHOWS LISTED BELOW ARE OPEN.
Man of La Mancha March 27 - April 13, 2008
Written by Dale Wasserman, Music by Mitch Leigh, Lyrics by Joe Darion
One of the most powerful musicals ever to grace the stage, this
play-within-a-play, brings Cervantes' "Don Quixote" to vivid life. A dying
old man conceives a strange, comic and most romantic quest - "to become a
knight errant and sally forth into the world to right all wrongs!" Having
dubbed himself the noble name Don Quixote de La Mancha, he needs only his
mighty (rusty) sword, his trusty (skeptical) vassal and his one true love (a
bitter, abused prostitute named Aldonza) to perform his soon to be legendary
deeds. The songs - It's All the Same, Dulcinea, I'm Only Thinking of Him,
Little Bird, I Really Like Him and The Impossible Dream, remain in your
thoughts and in your soul well after you see the show.
Cast requirements: The show requires a large cast consisting of all
types and ages: singers, actors/actresses, dancers. Auditionees should be
prepared to sing a song from the musical theatre repertoire (bring sheet
music for the accompanist) and to read from the script and possibly be
tested for dance ability (dress appropriately). Headshots and resumes are
appreciated but not required.
Auditions: Saturday, February 2, 2008, 1:00 to 4:00 pm and Monday, February
4, 2008 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Performers must be a minimum of 17 years of age

It's the biggest beach weekend of the summer, with a surfing race, a dance
contest, and the annual luau! Surfer Woody's carefree California life is set
- he's with the cutest beach girl, a great bunch of moon-dogging friends,
and to top it all - he has never wiped out! But when his old surfing pal
comes back from the "flower power" scene in San Francisco, Woody begins to
question his beach-boy world. Things get worse when he falls for a runaway
teen star! Can Woody keep surfing and discover the meaning of life? Fluffy
and funny, this show has great songs reminiscent of the 1960's beach party
